I've been busy working on my latest Q&A for Photoshop Creative Magazine.  This is a quick sketch, I was going to do some painting today but i haven't had the time.  i really must try harder next time :D 

Room by Emma Donoghue

I was given Room by Emma Donoghue for my birthday (from my brilliant other half)and i have to say that i loved the book.    Its all about a small boy called Jack and his Mum who live in a single little room.  to Jack this room is the entire universe and he has no idea of life outside.  He watched TV when his mum lets him and thinks that nothing is real except for him, his mum and old Nick (the bad guy – booooooo!).  His mum (Ma!) finds ways of entertaining Jack each and every day, by telling him stories, napping, doing exercises and having sparse amounts of food.  To Jack all the things in Room are his friends, Dora the Explorer for example is his friend who speaks in a made up language called Spanish. 

Its a heart warming story and really made me smile. I read this book within 10 days, so that proves it was hard to put down :)

Photoshop has crashed on me and wont work!!! This really sucks - i've tried reinstalling it but it hasn't helped.  I'm trying again!

I spent most of today setting up a new HD and transferring all my old stuff from my 150gb drive to me new 1tb drive :D  i don't mind saying it took hours to format the thing firstly (that my son buggered up by turning it off at 95%) then coping over gigs of info.  still now i have a back up of my photos which is good :)

I was in Today’s Sun Newspaper page 13! – i just want to point out that i didn't sit on my bun for 4 years not doing anything, i had lots of interviews and even tried to do a computer repair business before i got into this :)

I’ve become quite a fan of manga art work since I read Scott Pilgrim.  I though today i would try it out, I created the above picture  in Photoshop using a hard edge brush.  This was a lot easier to do digitally, even though Photoslop did crash on me at one point!

Happy New Year :)  to start this new year and hopefully a whole year of posts from me i thought I'd make the above picture :)  i was going to paint it with acrylics but decided to do it in Photoshop.   So wish me luck, 1 down 364 to go :)
