Toe amputation

A couple of weeks ago i had to undergo a toe amputation, this was because the bone in my little toe had crumbled and was causing an ulcer on my foot.  Not very nice i must admit.  I kept a photo diary of the events and recently when the nurse came over i managed to get a snap of my 4 toed foot, i blurred it for the sensitive but their is a unedited version on my photo blog.

Post amputation

I've had a problem with my foot for a few weeks - basically, blister that turned to ulcer, thought i had a dvt, turns out all the bones in my little toe were broken and causing the ulcer.  So yesterday i had to go in and have the little toe removed.  I've not seen the new slim-lined foot but this is the bandaged version.  hopefully soon it'll be healed :)

I was also just informed that having an amputation and not being able to drive is no excuse for not going to the surgery to have my dressing changed - lucky the toe was actually solid gold so i can just cash it in :(
