I'm quite pleased with it,  I need to practice a lot more but I find it hard to find the time.  Its ridiculous - I usually end up painting in the middle of the night.  but at least its quite :D

Woo - since i last wrote - i've been paid and have ordered my new camera :D yay - the camera should be here on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to getting it - really hope i can take some nice photo's with it :D I ordered a Fuji s5700 (http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s5700/) which looks really nice to me :D

My cheque will be cleared on Thursday - which is cool, i've got to get a fast battery charger as mine takes 10 hours to finish. The 1 hour ones are very cool. I'm also thinking about buying something from LoveHoney ;) have to think about it.

Been painting a lot this week - i've got to have a look at it soon. The funny thing is - if i do manips i think i should be painting - but ifi do painting, i feel i should be doing manips. Grrrr.

hmmmm - so i just asked about my cheque for this tutorial i wrote for Advance Photoshop magazine - apparently you get paid in the month of publication. in the past its always been 30days. I need to get a proper paying job - i love being freelance - but the pay is terrible and they make you wait so long to get paid....! :( Grrrrrr!

I'm also very tired - had a bad night last night!

I've been trying to learn how to paint using Photoshop, its fairly easy and a lot of fun - the main problem i've had is in finding what brushes to use. originally i used a soft edge brush on low opacity - this gave me this effect...



...but it wasnt quite what i wanted.

I'm now trying a hard edge brush on 100% opacity but flow at 50% - this seems to give quite a nice result - but nothing like what i see on DeviantArt. I guess i'm going to have to just keep trying.

okay - so I got this e-mail from flickr today - apparently my account has been set to unsafe :( which is odd - I've displayed he same type of pictures on my account since i first created it. Recently i've done a couple of nude photo's but nothing "Pornographic"...

anyway the e-mail said that i need to filter my content - but to be honest i'm not sure what i should filter. Granted the nude paintings are obviously nudes so i guess i should filter them - but should i also filter my horror pictures. its never been a problem before.

What gets me too is that i was also informed that - "You should also
know that if we receive another report about your content or conduct, it's very likely we'll terminate your account." As I've never been asked / told to filter my content before - so this is a very harsh notice.

I'm a little annoyed - as you might have guessed....!

well it's my final day of being 30 today - tomorrow brings the big three-one!! :D yes it is official - i am getting old! so old in fact that i have begun remembering the sort of crap i used to come out with as a little one....

*. i used to believe that my parents lived in a black and white world when they were younger - i guess my kids will believe i lived in a non-digital HD world (shudder!!)

*. i used to think that people got into the tv by a small door on the side...i remember looking for it many times as a kid.

*. i once proudly told my mum that i knew what my scrotum was for (ok i was only 3ish!) i had used all my brain power and knowledge to deduce it held wee! :D

*. i knew oneday i was going to be rock God!! \*/ but to this day i cant play anything on the guitar and cant sing a note.

*. women were easy to understand - heheheh runs and hides!!

*. Sex was straight forward, children were loving and caring and confusion was something old people suffered from (people who were really old - people in there 30's! :D)

i'm sure there are more - but now i need my beauty sleep :D
